(Diocese of Dunkeld) Born in Partick, Glasgow, 9th February 1892, the son of John Matthews and Mary Hamilton; left, unordained, 4th March 1912, re-admitted, August 1914, ordained a priest by Bishop Segura, Auxiliary in Valladolid, in Cathedral, Valladolid, 14th June 1919, and left for Scotland, 18/20th June 1919; canon of the Dunkeld chapter.
