Angus Gillis

(Western District) Born in Moidart, the son of Alasdair Gillis and Mary Cameron; arrived in Valladolid from Lismore; expelled from Valladolid, 9th June 1837, but admitted to Blairs, 1838, and ordained a priest at Preshome, 30th January 1840; served at Braemar, Chapeltown and Glenmoriston before going to Nova Scotia, 1846, where he died, 5th October 1851. Angus Gillis's headstone seems to have the wrong date for his ordination. He is buried in Stella Maris RC Church Cemetery, Creignish, Inverness County, Nova Scotia, Canada.
