John Coll

(Western District) Born of Irish parents, 16th May 1829; left, unordained, 7th November 1851, with the intention of joining the Scots Benedictines in Ratisbon; was ordained a priest for the Diocese of Hexham and was working in Darlington, 1862-63; was teaching English in Vienna, 1872.

According to parish records, John Coll was the son of John Coll and Brygille Bryson and was baptised on 23rd May 1829 in St Andrew's, Glasgow.
