William Dawson
(Northern District and Diocese of Aberdeen) Born in Huntly, 19th September 1853, the son of George Dawson and Margaret Clinton; ordained in Valladolid, 23rd September 1876, and left for Scotland; because of ill health, went to south of England, 1880, and later transferred to Diocese of Plymouth, where he was at Teignmouth for many years, until his death, 17th August 1914.

The Rev. William Dawson was born at Huntly on the 19th September, 1853; entered Blairs College on the 16th July, 1866; and was sent to the Scots College, Valladolid, in November, 1870. He received the Tonsure and Minor Orders at Avila from Mgr. Fr. Blanco y Lorenzo on the 20th February, 1875; and was ordained Sub-deacon by the same Prelate at Valladolid on the 11th March, 1876, Deacon on the 10th June, and Priest on the 23rd September. On his return to Scotland in October, he was sent to serve for some time in Braemar.
